 NYC is a thriving creative hub for, among other industries, the arts, fashion, advertising, media, entertainment, technology, and of course, financial services. Additionally, NYC is and has always been a global crossroads. The diversity of people and opinions, lives and livelihoods, is what makes our city great. The commitment to create a Conscious Capitalism Chapter in one of the world’s global financial centers presents a unique opportunity. Those of us spearheading the effort have felt a great sense of responsibility to create an organization that not only reflects the character and commerce of this city, but also supports the tenets of Conscious Capitalism in a place that unquestionably has tremendous influence over the way capitalism is practiced in the world today. As we move forward, we want to acknowledge the special circumstances and enormous opportunities inherent in building a chapter so close to Wall Street. And so, we’ve come to the conclusion as a group that our chapter must be as inclusive as this city, and also as driven. We believe Conscious Capitalism (CC) is a new paradigm for operating corporations; one that recognizes the power of capitalism to improve the human condition and create enduring value for all stakeholders. We invite anyone who is curious about these ideas and those who already embrace them to join us as we reach high and strive to create change in our society
